  36.       For example, DFW is Dallas, Fort Worth's code.
  37.       NOTE: Output is written to a file named:  FORECAST.CAP

  107.     those.  This allows the program to cycle less

  145.     wild conferences you can get (alt.sex, alt.beer, alt.drugs)
  146.     downloaded in .QWK format.

  148.     any others (I personally toss them into my PCBoard BBS msg base)

  181. Most changes in version 2.3 are tweaking and idiot-proofing
  182. the program.  99.999% of my support questions have been
  183. very basic principles that I did not think most people
  184. would ask  ("how do I type AUTONET.exe on the command line?")
  185.  
  186. If you are an AutoNet guru, make a file called USER.NEW in 
  187. the same directory as Autonet.exe to avoid the intro screens.
  188.

  190. 1.  Fixed the "BYE" before the FTP site.  Only does it when
  191.     actually on a site.  This extra command logs some people
  192.     completely off the Internet (why?!)

  194. 2.  UniComp has been having major changes almost weekly, and
  195.     their prompts continue to change, and are unpredictable.
  196.     I altered AutoNet to accomodate their update (get with the program, guys!)

  198. 3.  If USER.NEW file doesn't exist, an intro screen appears
  199.     to explain how to use the program (geared for new users)

  327.     Auto-Net was having problems when a FTP command was followed
  328.     by another command like ARCHIE, etc....
  329.     Auto-Net didn't realize it was still on the FTP site, and
  330.     therefore, didn't log off.  Fixed.

  332. 3.  Added MANUAL LOGIN command.  If Auto-Net is having trouble
  333.     logging onto your provider, manually logging in might be
  334.     an option.  Just include MANUAL LOGIN as the first line of
  335.     your config file.
  336.     You'll be dropped into terminal immediately.  Just type: ALT-Q
  337.     for Auto-Net to start its agenda.

  449. is now fixed.  You can type anything after "send", and it works
  450. great:

  453. !! You gotta register now.  The unregistered version does NOT
  454.    delete files it downloaded.  And you will probably be charged
  455.    for every megabyte you use.

  485. 9.  KILL AREA statement erases "*.*" in your user area.  I had one guy 
  486.     complain that AutoNet didn't delete his user area files after it

  491. 11. WHOIS LIST gets the current Who - Is server listing.  This is used
  492.     for looking people up on the Internet.  Since the listing changes

  495. 12. Zmodem occasionally bombs if running under Windows with 100 other
  496.     applications running.  I fixed it best I could.

  498. 13. If a file exists named DEBUG.ME in the current directory,

  512.    click on the AutoNet icon, then minimize it, and let it

  517.     Now you can search for files using ARCHIE automatically,
  518.     and capture the output to a file.

  522.     AutoNet lets you mail your friends, or send those important

  528. 3.  Added SNAIL speed for Internet providers that are non-responsive
  529.     to anything.  That gives a five minutes timeout period.

  531. 4.  UQWK packets now supported.  Read your Internet mail, or
  532.     USENET mail OFFLINE!  Use any offline reader: Blue Wave, 
  533.     RoboMail, Offline, Wave Rider for Usenet messages.
  534.     You don't even have to be home to get your mail any longer!

  536. 5.  Download files into specific directory, instead of sticking
  537.     everything into the current one.

  557. 1.  DELETE DOWNLOADED had a bug, where it would Delete the
  558.     downloaded files BEFORE it actually downloaded them.

  574.     if the Internet is running rather slow, or is quicker than

  577. 7.  If the phone rings while AutoNet is dialing out, AutoNet will
  578.     answer the phone, let the modem connect, then HANG UP.
  579.     Yes.. this is rather rude, but many sysops were complaining
  580.     that the phone rang when they started the program, then AutoNet
  581.     just sat there.
